Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a small, quiet town. It is a bit of a mystery as the West Island can be confusing to those unfamiliar of its purpose. Many people believe that it's an island to the west of Montreal, but it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the two cities in Lachine as well as West. Amanda Brugel was born there, but her time was not long in the city. Brugel grew on Courtice just outside Oshawa located in Ontario. Her early ambition was to become a dancer, but a growth spurt led to her growing beyond the dancers she was with.
